In this section of Autism Heath Hub®, we will explore what parents first notice in their child’s behaviour that differs from other children. Behaviours that could potentially lead to a diagnosis.
We know that this subject can be scary and confusing as you worry about your child’s future and what being autistic will mean for them. We are here to provide you with information and guidance on how you can deal with this moment and find a good path to help your child to thrive.

Health Section II: Diagnosis
In this section of Autism Heath Hub®, we will focus on be exploring the symptoms you have been noticing in your child and the process in which professionals use to reach a diagnosis.
We will also explore the basic information on the pathway to diagnosis, where you can find help and information on types of assessment.
The diagnosis is attained via a series of interviews based on specific guidelines and criteria. We will explore these specific diagnostic criteria and explain each individual diagnostic tool. We will try to make it easier for you, parent or carer, to understand the child’s symptoms.

Health Section III: Post-diagnosis
In this section of Autism Heath Hub®, we will suggest small changes in the parent’s day to day routine which may potentially help them better cope with the stresses that they will encounter through this journey.
We may suggest activities that you and your child can do together or that you, as a parent, may do when you feel overwhelmed and tired. We will also inform you of therapies that are available to help your child to thrive.
